Wrigley show August 18th show merchandise question
hey guys,
I had a question on how hard it will be to get a poster/merchandise for the wrigley shows. This will be my wife’s first show plus we are pregnant and this will be baby’s first show!!! Needless to say we want merchandise and posters for this special time in our lives. I was just asking to see if anyone could give tips or advice for us trying to achieve these.
Thanks
kyle

I heard Wrigley 2013 was far worse.
2016: Lexington and Wrigley 1
Well, four of the five 2016 Fenway posters are still in the Shop. A couple of the Wrigley ones were probably available for quite awhile, and the favorite posters of the two shows sold out pretty quickly.
So, assuming you aren't picky and the band still has 4-5 posters per show, you can probably buy one without too much trouble if you are willing to spend an hour or so waiting in a line (shortest line is the one for waiting in line for the gates to open and buying in the stadium, but then you can't take the poster back to hotel). You just may not get the "hot" poster of the weekend. Or just enjoy the weekend and if you see a short line and get lucky (great), or just wait for the sale on the Ten Club site or pay a little premium on Ebay once things settle down.
Best of luck if you decide to endure the long time that is merch lines.

I heard it was better for people who chanced their luck during the shows.

Might want to keep an eye out for baby stuff, like a onesie.
- Line up to get into the stadium and buy inside
- Line up on off day in between for outside shops
- Cross your fingers and wait for demand to drop and buy online on this site
I wouldn't be surprised if they printed as many posters as the 2016 shows. Shirts should be easy to get at the stands - it's the in-demand posters that sell out quickly.
But with your wife pregnant, and you possible wanting to show up with her much later...then you might want to go the harder route and show up the day before (by yourself, leaving her at home/hotel) and wait in the 3-4 hour merch line outside the metro (assuming they do it like they did last time). If you do that, you could then show up at the stadium at 7pm on show night, which would be easier for her.
Unless standing in line for hours in the heat of summer with a possibly hormonal pregnant wife is in your bucket list. If it is, I will retract my offer. Lastly, CONGRATULATIONS!
It will only make you guys angry and tired. Get the bootleg (better souvenir than any poster or shirt) and you'll find plenty of posters available later. Look at how many are available for close to cost for Fenway and Wrigley 2016.
Just my opinion. I live in Chicago and I would still never spend hours in line for stuff. It'll be hot and humid. Enjoy the city and relax up to show time.

waited 4-5 hours outside before 2016 show. waited 30 min after the show to buy another shirt and baseball cards.
I love PJ but I have enough merch to not blow 5 hours of chicago vacation time, again, standing in line.
