Any fans of Mazzy star on here? Can't get enough of her voice. Maybe her and Cornell should do something.

Fade Into You is amazing, but never got into her too much.

Yes it is! It's all about Hope Sandoval's voice!

I've liked Mazzy Star since um, about 1993? 1994? Whenever I first heard Fade Into You, anyway.

I want to hold the hand inside you
I want to take a breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
    You live your life
    You go in shadows
You'll come apart and you'll go black
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not there.

    Fade into you
    Strange you never knew
    Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew

A stranger's light comes on slowly
    A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then smiles cover your heart

    Fade into you
    Strange you never knew
    Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew

    Fade into you
    Strange you never knew
    Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
I think it's strange you never knew
Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse
Of my innocence... got back my inner sense...

I dig their stuff. Nothing is as cool as Fade Into You, of their library, but the rest are pretty cool.

Love them,. Into Dust is one of my fav tracks as well as Fade.  All the albums I own are solid, with So tonight the best known. But their debut was great albeit a little raw.  The third and fourth were respectable as well.  I recommend  starting with So Tonight That I May See and work from there outwards.  Great almost haunting stuff, you have  like a little melancholy and reverb as well, but she has a very soft and powerful voice.

    She is not named Mazzy

I went my whole life never hearing Fade Into You until this past year and it really hit me hard.  That song has aged as well as any in it's time.
Dictionaries should have an audio clip of that song for the "melancholy" entry.
Beautiful, maybe I will find some more stuff like that.

And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

Love them, for sure.  What a huge loss when David Roback died at only 61 years of age. His earlier work with Rain Parade was terrific as well.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
