10C Hotline

Hey.  This one is for the old timers out there.

Does anyone remember the 10C hotline which (pre-Internet days) was "the place" to get info on the fan club, tour dates, new album info etc?

I remember calling that number so many times hoping that a new tour would be announced or to hear any interesting fan club nuggets.  I am fairly certain that band members left recorded messages on there as well occasionally for the fans to discover.

It was a local Seattle number from what I recall so I would call it at work to avoid the long distance charges.

Ah..those were the days...

I remember but never called. As a teen I thought fan clubs were for adults for some reason.

Yes, I remember one of the recordings , because it said.......Bor-re-al super slow & phonetically.  I still wonder how cool that show would’ve been.

I cost my mom a lot of money in long distance charges because of that hotline. Man, what a throwback! I totally forgot about that!

    Ha!
I was listening to the Celebration Rock podcasts on PJ over the weekend and it reminded me of those times.  Glad I am not the only one on here that remembers those days.

It felt wrong to post a phone number, but if you search "206" you'll get what you need.  Searching Kat and OfTheSea's posts bring back so many great memories.
