If we ban Backspacer tunes then Binaural, Riot Act, Avocado, and Lightning Bolt have to go too
It became cool at some point to not like accessible PJ tunes. I have two teens. Backspacer is by far their favorite. Nothing wrong with a current modern take on things. Hearing my daughter and her friends blasting The Fixer is a beautiful hopeful thing. Theres only two songs i skip on Backspacer. The albums i named above have more than that.
I really don't get this Backspacer bashing shit anymore.
Seriously. It's a great album. Seems like whenever things are quiet in pearl jam land it's time to bash backspacer.
That said, it's time for me to go do and/or say something more productive.

This a ridiculous question. Any album that has amongst the waves, got some, just breathe, force of nature, speed of sound, unthought known on it shouldn't be compared to nickelback. I don't see the point
Wow someone has a hate-on for backspacer. I find I really dig about half of modern PJ albums, find a few songs ok, and then the last bunch I'm not super big on. That's not bad. There's 0 songs on any recent nickelback album worth listening too (I hate to say it but I did did their first album Curb back in the day, but that was long before they put out anything commercial enough to get famous).

The Fixer is controversial here but went to #1 on the rock charts. I love it.
The other 8 songs are all amazing. Can you find many albums that bat 8 for 11??
It's just a question.
Not sure why you are posting in a poll thread with no answer of your own.
