Every now and then I run across a comment on the boards that the re-releases especially the Ten vinyl sound flat. Just want to see what the consensus is.

I have wondered if there aren't differences between reissues though, given the very mixed reports. Or maybe it really is just a real difference in perspective. Hard to say. I don't think equipment has anything to do with it though, since people have compared using the same system.
Remastered sound terrible in my opinion.Better depth on the originals I think.
Should have read better sorry, please change if you can

What really becomes interesting is when you look at analog pressings vs digital. Sometimes you are just as well to buy the CD then the CD pressed into vinyl.
I have sometimes wondered that I need to do an experiment, and put a record on for someone, but have the amp still set to my digital medium. Let it play as I put the needle down, making the listener think they are listening to vinyl.... I wonder how many would talk about that "warm" sound then.
Ten redux sounds sorta different than the pink Ten...but it's hard to nail down what it is and where it's different. Ed's under his breath sequence during Once? The stereo imaging of the bass? The volume of the drums? I have no idea what it is...
At a reasonable volume (meaning sorta LOUD) I notice absolutely no difference in the reissued Ten, vs., and Vitalogy CDs from the original CDs.
The LPs from the super deluxe boxes sound like records... albeit really, really, really, quiet records. I dont have the orig LPs.
