    In our first exclusive video with Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, the guitarist recounts writing the music for “Sirens,” a single off of the band’s 2013 Lightning Bolt album. McCready describes being influenced by a Roger Waters show in Seattle and shows how the various song parts came together.

    For this video, McCready is playing his 1974 Martin D-28. In our next video, he’ll walk us through the three 1959 guitars in the background, including his 1959 Gibson ‘Burst on the far right. The Fretboard Journal is doing a big feature on McCready, out in early 2014. Check us out at fretboardjournal.com.

    "The magazine is quarterly and a new issue is released approximately every three months."

    Latest Issue 32 has been released back in April '14. :|
    Don't think we'll get a Mike McCready cover. :(

    Based on the description of issue 33 on the Fretboard Journal website it certainly doesn't sound like our boy will be on the cover and it may not even have his interview in it. Disappointing
    it's a fragile thing, this life we lead.

    I know. :( Maybe though they are keeping it as a secret? We'll find out soon.

    The publisher told me twice that McCready would be in the Spring 2014 issue... that was a while ago... they have only put out 2 issues this year (instead of the usual 4)... Going to let me sub lapse...

    It took 7 months to get issue 33 out. Doubt in 3 months time issue 34 will be released.

    Oh it is quarterly. That's what Freboard Journal Subscription says ..

    Only one I've heard of is Blake Mills...
    He used to be in Band Of Horses!!
    Saw his solo show back in 2010 when he opened for BRAD & Band Of Horses at The LC here in Columbus!!
    He joined BOH for a few songs in the encore set :rock_on:
