American Frame
For those of you that have used americanframe.com to frame prints, how are they? Do you have to assemble these? According to the website it seems you do.

Yes you have to do the assembly, but I've used them a bunch of times for multiple types of prints and always been satisfied.

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
Let me clarify that, wooden frames under a certain size are assembled, metal ones are not.

I guess I'm trying to figure out where you would put the hanging brackets. I doubt they would be attached to the archival board.
Thanks!

I never use tape. I use archival mounting corners.

Don't Die Wondering
I got a sample pack of acid free mats and these would be in direct contact with the poster. However, they do not have a black mat with white core that is acid free. They do however have that in their General Purpose Mat line. It's item E4089. They said that any of the mats with an 'E' are ones that have an acid free back and core, but that the top black color is not acid free.
My question is will it matter if I use the E4089 as a top mat since it will not be in direct contact with the poster?
Thanks.
"An economical mat for non-archival framing, this line features selections from Bainbridge NovaCore, Papermat and Crescent Berkshire lines. This line has an acid free backing and is available with a light cream, black or white core. With its range of popular colors and quality material, it is the choice for affordable framing. 4ply (1/16”)"
PS You should be fine either way
If you order a mounting board, don't peel the paper off all at once. Roll your poster onto the paper a few inches at a time, it will be easier to handle and prevent creases.
