First record spun on my new turntable was....
Vitalogy!
It was almost No Code, but how do you not spin the album with spin the black circle on it.
My new Denon 300f with an Ortofon Red Cartridge arrived today. It sounds so much better then my 5 year old $99 Sony Special (which was even a pale comparison the the 1970s/80s Sony turntable that I had borrowed from my grandparents, which they wanted back, which is why I bought a cheap replacement).
The Denon sounds pretty damn good. Alot of people were recommending the Project Carbon and Rega RP1, but I really didn't like the idea of manually changing stuff to go from 45rpm to 33rpm. Someone pointed me in the direction of the 300f which gets pretty positive reviews except for the fact it comes with a completely mediocre cartridge. needledoctor had a combo with the red ortofon and its perfect.
Now I need to figure which 45rpm to spin first. It'll probably be Sonic Reducer
