If it wasnt for the long ride, I would say hell yes! But that long in a car, depending on your health and how your prego has gone is yet to be seen.

First of all CONGRATS!!! Having a child is life changing and we are loving it. I am not a woman but my wife being prego it would be almost a judgment call. Like how you are feeling coming up to the event. This is probably no help since you probably have to buy tickets 3 months in advance.

^^^ I agree with Given to...talk to your doctor. Some people have hard first pregnancies, and some have easy ones.

I'm DUE Labor Day weekend, and I'm still getting tickets. I have a back up to buy them in case something happens. My Mother isn't too happy with my plans, but the fiance is right on board with me! :D

Congrats! I was at Alpine last summer for a show and there was a woman in the bathroom line that looked like she was about 7 months preggo - everyone was really cool with her and didn't make her wait in the line, so at least you probably won't have to worry about that. Definitely talk to your doctor, but if it were me I'd go :D

Def talk to your doctor. Some women can be pretty huge (ie. uncomfortable) at that stage of your pregnancy so being stuck in a car for 18+ hours might not be so ideal.

    Either way congrats :-)

I should add... I don't know about your drive, it really is all up to you though. I had to take a very long drive for a wedding with my first one when I was about 6 months-ish, and two weeks later I went to back to back concerts. I was fine, but everyone is different. If you do go, avoid the Big Johns, or you're destined for sickness. Alpine has real bathrooms inside the building. :-) Good luck, maybe we'll run into each other! lol

I was 35 weeks pregnant at my last show, but I also had to travel 10 minutes by car to get there. I would make sure you can sit (a lot) and will have access to a lot of water. You will need to stop and get out of the car every couple of hours to stretch and make sure you're not sitting in the same position for hours on end, so add a lot of time to your driving plans. I've done the drive to the Midwest and east coast a bunch of times. I'm from Philly but now live in Chicago. It's totally do able, but you have to be really realistic and be prepared to take it pretty easy so you don't over do it. Make sure where ever you sleep the bed is comfortable! You'll need solid rest.

I drove to PA when I was 6.5 months along and it was only 8 hours...but it sucked! No matter how well your oregnancy is going at that point you have to pee about every 20 minutes...imagine trying leave show to tinkle constantly, unless you are open to strpping on some Depends. ;) I wouldn't do it. Nothing is worse than wanting to have a good time, surrounded by people having fun and you're missing out. I was naive enough to think I could handle a long road trip beacsue the hey the first 5-6 months aren't all that bad of pregnancy, after my experience I said never again. Just my two cents. :)

    I wouldn't but only because I've had 2 kids and for me, heat+car traveling+pregnancy=nightmare.

I guess it depends on your personality as well. For me, if something bad were to happen, I would never be able to forgive myself and Pearl Jam would be ruined for me. Not worth it.

The worst part would be the drive probably. I went to a few concerts in my last trimester (including Lollapalooza) and was fine, but they were nearby. Cheer up though...hopefully PJ will back on the east coast next year after you've given birth!

    Congrats :D

I would talk to your doctor before. 6.5 months - there's still plenty of time before your due date. It's quite far along too but not too far. Obviously you'd take precautions.
The only issue would be the journey but I'm sure that if you planned it to give yourself LOTS of time, as well as any extra days you can afford, it would work out. And depends on who you're going with and stuff.
You'd just have to make sure you kept moving your legs and feet, getting out every few hours (or even less) for a stroll. And lots of breaks.

I think that there it would be okay. Sounds like there's a lot of different facilities and you'll be surrounded (for the most part) with caring thoughtful people. Anyway, if you really want to go, I wouldn't rule it out right away.
