Go Backspacer!!! Finish up strong. She's f'in hardcore. She came from the farthest point north.
To my understanding, none of the males stand a chance in the race. Won't they wait til the beaches are full of breeding to head to land?

Day 10:
"Backspacer spun around and buzzed past Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada, but she hasn't crossed the finish line. Nueva Esperanza also twirled in place and is now pointed toward the west, as is Seabiscuit. Cali is now near the continental shelf of the U.S.—he might even be heading back to Canada. Estéban is cruising toward the finish line now."
Honestly never thought I'd see the day when a Turtle had me on the edge of my seat  ! My kids are lovin' this (and we donated)..."Do it for the children Backspacer!"

Day 11:
"Backspacer continues to dance around the finish line. Wawa Bear did some more loops, so she must not be ready to lay eggs yet. Estéban is cruising fast toward the Caribbean, looking to enter via the Windward Islands. Nueva Esperanza and Seabiscuit have peeled off from the rest of the group, but Nueva is pointed toward the Caribbean Sea and Seabiscuit toward the Guianas. We still haven’t heard from Billy, so it looks like his transmitter has stopped working altogether."

My daughter got into the turtles' 'plight' when we were in Greece a few years back... She's supporting Searcher because it's the smallest one in the race and she thinks it deserves a bit more support as she is competing against bigger and stronger!

Day 12:
“We have a winner! Backspacer has finally crossed the finish line through the Windward Islands, between St. Vincent and St. Lucia. Who will be next? Nueva Esperanza seems to be picking up speed. Estéban almost crossed the finish line, but he bounced back and did a loop. Seabiscuit is very close to the finish line off Suriname and French Guiana. Lindblad the Explorer, on the other hand, seems to have stopped in her tracks.”
Pearl Jam has the best turtles, now that's established, 10c is up and celebrating, where are you sending Backspacer on vacation now she had won your race? Italy? France? England?
This is a great cause and I'm grateful that awareness was raised.
AskPearlJam: PearlJama101-guest says: Who's idea was it for Eddie to play banjo on "Soon Forget"?
Eddie: I don't know whose idea it was but it was turned down.

She's a cute turtle if the pictures are anything to go by.
