Happened to me most impressively with Porch. Knew the song since 1993 but never understood what all the fuss was about. Then came Philly 2 2009. Since then I love it.

Also happened with Whipping & In My Tree. To a lesser extent Last Exit and SOLAT

Speed of Sound for me just this week. I used to skip this one on BS but for whatever reason this week I heard it and really listened to the lyrics and it was like BAMM! I must have played it 20 times a day this whole week. I guess I just relate to it now in a way I couldn't 6 years ago.

I agree, definetly seeing it live changed my feeling for the song! There are a lot of great endings to it but I like the Easy Street Records version. It goes great with the list on the promo CD!

This happened with Corduroy this last tour. It kicks ass live, my appreciation for this song has definitely grown significantly.
Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

green disease and yellow ledbetter. For yellow ledbetter I already see it as like the 3rd best song ever but it continues to suprise me.

This is actually happening allot to me lately but the best example is
    Off He Goes.

The performance from Vic 07 is what turned it around. It grabbed be and never let go.

Parting Ways for me. I made a copy of the cd and changed the order around and added some songs and ended up running out of disc space so I left it off. Years later it is one of my favorites.
PARTING WAYS. I had never "heard" it until one day, passively listening, Mike's guitar struck the violin melody with the same invigorating blow it delivered the veins in my heart, or so it felt. And that voice, that VOICE that hovers ominously over a intense field of instrumentals: heavy electric guitar and drums against an elegant and sorrowful violin. And fuck, those drums are played beautifully. Ripped my heart out.

Exactly. This is another one that got me recently.

For me it was Fatal for sure, and Habbit. But the same it was with RVM, I don't like it most, but now it's one of my most favorit.

My 1/2 Full moment occurred at the 7/9/03 MSG show, I love the extended Jam in it..... Of the earth, had a similar feel to it. I also completely agree with the lyrical messages in 1/2 Full. Enjoy all of the music everyone.
