Vegas on the West Coast Tour?

Obviously this will only be based on pure speculation, but who thinks that a Vegas show will be included on the upcoming West Coast tour?

I'd love to make the trek there for a few days in the fall!

Why not do a week in Vegas at various venues? Maybe 2 at MGM Grand for the masses. Hard Rock just opened the new "Joint" holds around 4000 now. Probably no better place than "The Pearl Theatre" at the Palms for a show. Mandalay Bay has a pretty big venue or play outside at the "Beach". Planet Hollywood also sports a nice sized theatre. Plenty of hotel rooms at fairly reasonable prices now. Vegas almost always brings the most who travel to shows, why not reward them with a nice run?

I was just thinking about this this morning. They semi announced that there would be a west coast run this fall, just no confirmation yet. They played Vegas in 2000, 2003, and 2006. It would make sense they would play there in 2009, especially if a west coast tour becomes a reality.

I would think that Vegas is a no-brainer for this fall's west coast tour, along with Seattle, San Diego, LA, Santa Barbara and Phoenix. Missoula and Portland should get shows too.

Does anyone have any idea as to when the west coast tour dates will be announced? This month or will we have to wait until June?

i live in Vegas and back in march i was listening to the radio and they were playing Dissident and right after the song the DJ said something along the lines of How the new Joint is heavily rumored trying to get pearl jam to play since they totally remodeled it and everything. i'm still thinking they'll play MGM...we'll see...

I was kind of getting worried that they might not include Vegas in the west coast tour, but you guys seem confident and that's good enough for me :D

The Joint would be a disaster. That place is just a huge scam if you're an established band that could play bigger venues. Tickets are cheap for has-been/minor bands like Collective Soul, etc... But for a band like Pearl Jam, expect $200 tickets, up to (doubt they'd do it like this, but you never know) what McCartney did...you get 2 tickets WITH a room package deal thing....so you only have to spend $2000 to see a show at the Joint, and lucky you, you get the privilege of staying at the Hard Rock with all the other douchebags going to Rehab the next morning.

The Pearl on the other hand...I am all for that place. Saw Chris Cornell there a couple years ago and the whole time thought about how awesome it would be if PJ did 2-3 intimiate nights there instead of one big one at MGM. The place is amazing.

I like the Pearl too. It was alot smaller than I expected. Even the last row in that place is still soooooooo close...

I saw the Foo Fighters at the old "Joint" in October , it was only 80$ a ticket. Its just really how greedy the artist wants to be.

Those would be the trek I'd take. Although I hate Vegas with a passion, I'd have to go if they play since airfare from San Fran is dirt cheap to Vegas.

Yes the flights are cheap, but the stay in Vegas can be expensive (unless I'm betting on College Basketball :) ).

The wife wants to go to Vegas, so PJ in Vegas would difinitely be a win win for me. :D

Eddie said in an interview or something that they only play Vegas because Kelly Curtis likes to go there.

Key word there is the OLD Joint... before the massive increases (on behalf of the Hard Rock) in Green Disease. Check out some of the ass-rapings the Joint has available now. There are just cooler places to play. The Pearl would be absolutely amazing, I guarantee it. Better than Borgata.

I understand what you are saying, some of the bands are charging a ridiculous amount to see them. Saw the Killers there opening night of the Joint, tickets were reasonably priced. Although I would imagine if they play Vegas that it would be the MGM, really don't see them playing anything smaller down there. But I could be wrong.

Mandalay Bay has a pretty big venue. Metallica is playing there in Nov I believe so that might be another possibility.

I would love to see them anywhere in Vegas or Phoenix. I would drive out for Vegas if they didn't have a Phoenix show for sure.
Let's see those 2013 dates in the southern states.
