My mon ordered it for me yesterday. I'll get it on December 25th. If you think the suspense of receiving a signed copy is too much, try waiting 9 extra months.

I know its sad that a 27 year old is having his mom buy a box set for XMAS 9 months early, but I can't justify spending $140 with a baby at home.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, I can still order it on March 1st and still be in on a chance to get it signed?

I get paid on the 1st- even though my wife would kill me if I bought it ;)

my wife's a huge PJ fan, but she doesn't get spending $140 on an album- that's how she looks at it.

Ya, $140 is tough. The possibilities to get one signed is pretty exciting though.

A friend (long time pj nut) had this guitar on the wall in his appartment the last 5 years. Now though, he moved into a new house WITH his wife, which means he no longer is free to decorate all walls with pj stuff. He offered it to me last week, and I accepted 8-)

The guitar was signed during the 2003 tour.

My husband knew what he was getting into when we first started dating - my apartment was full of various rock memorabilia, records, posters, photos, etc. But since its been "our" money, he's taking a whole different view... The Ultra Ten set cost $210 CDN and he had quite the hissy fit...I was all, "think how happy I'll be for such a long time!" He didn't fall for it...even with batting eyelashes....

don't take this personally or perceive it as an attempt to be rude or burst your bubble:

did your friend obtain the signatures in person? the reason i ask is because, while the Stone and Matt signatures did show slight subtle differences compared to typical legitimate signatures obtained during the same period, the Jeff and Ed signatures are in my opinion suspiciously awkward (when you zoom in on the Jeff signature, it's obvious the marker was lifted several times in the word "Jeff" and the Ed signature just seems like other fake Ed signatures of the day). the differences when compared to legitimate signatures obtained during the same period in '03 are just too strong not to question and wonder for your benefit,...

where's my boy StrangestTribe27 to chime in on this and tell me i'm off my rocker

That question is certainly valid. But I am confident it is done properly as the guitar was sold to generate funds for a charity and this was done through pj's own crew. I think the reason the sigs look off is that they took a a bit more time signing it properly, than the usual fast process. Sig experts are certainly welcome to chime in off course but I cannot have bought this thing from a more secure source than I did. Other than directly from the band off course.

    edit.
I am in the process of getting an expert to look at it. We'll see what comes out of it.

not sure which "expert" you've decided on, but feel free to email the 10C (no better expert) and explain you'd like the signatures authenticated (they've offered to do so in the past). be sure to include links to the photos you've uploaded to Photobucket, and make mention of the fact the uploaded photos include close-up images of each signature.

based on the close-up images of the signatures, i feel neither Ed's nor Jeff's signatures are legitimate BUT i'm not questioning your secure source that sold you the guitar. however, if you choose to ask for your money back should the signatures be confirmed as fake i hope your secure source comes through. if anything, when you mentioned being told the guitar was offered up for a chairty auction via a member of the band's crew, it made the item even more suspect because i don't see PJ signing and donating a guitar made by "California" for charity auction purposes. that, and the fact that if even one signature is doubtful and/or fake, i'd question them all,...
