Didn't see this posted, but then I've been known to be hard of seeing....

It would seem that Into The Wild was the goose that laid the golden egg - or something like that. Everyone who was involved turned to gold? Everthing it touched turned to gold?

Whatever - a great film is its own reward! Same with music!

    It would seem you're mixing the golden goose metaphor with the midas touch.
