I can't remember what the story is! Was it some kind of EV-centric erotica? If so, I'm guessing I'd probably be pretty keen! I work at a library and I often look quite wistfully at the 'best women's erotica' on the shelves, but am too embarrassed to borrow it. I am doing an excrutiating post grad in Library and Info Science, so that I can get a decent job within libraries down the track . . . which I've discovered, (after working part-time at an inner-city library service) is my perfect job, a mix of books and social work . . . essentially I get paid to be nice to people all day and I'm surrounded by books and knowledge and music and films. It's an awesome job and I ADORE it . . . but fuck this course is HELL. It's almost like they know that the idea of 'library science' is a bit of a crock, so they make it as difficult as possible! Ah well . . . I'll get there.
And was it Oceaninmyeyes that recommended The Outlander series? With the Scottish hunk and time-travel etc? You know that's not the first time that's been recommended to me. It must be good . . . will give it a try and if I don't find time (my bedside table is heavy with 'books that I really should read') I will recommend it to my library patrons! So thank you Oime!
Some of these pics are truly incredible . . . after I finished up studying late last night I was looking through them and got totally fixated on the one from Iconoclasts where his eyes looks HUGE and blue . . . I kinda zoned out looking at that pic and thinking about who he is as a person, beneath all the layers of fame and success and adoration. I wonder if the Eddie that never 'made' it musically, and was a surf-instructor on the beaches of California of Hawaii, would be pretty much the exact same person, or whether his success has made him someone quite different, i.e. someone more bashful, or self-important, or grateful, or charming. He's such a 'tower' to us fans, he's monumental in a way . . . it's so hard to separate him from his fame and talent. Did he always know he would be a superstar? Deep down? And would the non-famous Eddie by any less attractive than the successful Eddie? Or would he his surf-lessons be booked up for 10 years because women couldn't help but fall hopelessly in love with him within moments?
And that early video from the '92 concert! I love watching shit like that. It helps to complete the portrait of him . . . That video is awesome because A) It shows Mike drinking like a 14-year-old! At the age of 27! Whispering Hands - did you get my pm with my email? And good for you - we need more good EMT's. I am an RN, but haven't worked for a while. But am thinking it is about time to either get back to work or get back to school. I am proud of both of you Whispering Hands and Ms. Nelly. :thumbup:
And yes, Ms. Nelly, it was me with Outlander. It is not all erotica, but good historical fiction, with a considerable amount of fun :oops: thrown in for good measure. And the main female character is a nurse so it is fascinating to me to see how she tries to do her job after being sent back 200 years. As you say, being in a long term relationship, does at times necessitate inventiveness. They are very well written;there are at least 7 books in the series, each around 800 pages and I have read all of them multiple times.
As far as our man here. It is my feeling that he has never forgotten what it feels like to be on our side of things. I think he still remembers working crew and how exciting it was to meet someone famous. I have seen so many videos of him meeting fans after shows in different places, and he just seems so genuinely interested in people. And his activist tendencies happened so early on, that I think that would not have changed either. I believe that line for surf lessons from our non-famous instructor would have "stretched all the way back to Terre Haute."
Which leads me to Shetellsherself. Rebel, I am glad that you have a cause, I am just sorry that you picked it up for the reason that was forced upon all of us. Last night we got a robocall from my kids' school district about increasing security because of the Conn. shooting and, of all things, because of the Mayan doomsday predictions. My oldest said that rumors are flying in his high school and some kids aren't going on Friday. It is hard to send your kids to school with a gnawing pit in your stomach. These pics will give you some much needed distraction, but sometimes it make me feel better to do something. I signed a petition today to the White House demanding that changes be made. There were over 150,000 signatures already. This could have happened anywhere, in any US school.

Whispering Hands - did you get my pm with my email? And good for you - we need more good EMT's. I am an RN, but haven't worked for a while. But am thinking it is about time to either get back to work or get back to school. I am proud of both of you Whispering Hands and Ms. Nelly. :thumbup:
And yes, Ms. Nelly, it was me with Outlander. It is not all erotica, but good historical fiction, with a considerable amount of fun :oops: thrown in for good measure. And the main female character is a nurse so it is fascinating to me to see how she tries to do her job after being sent back 200 years. As you say, being in a long term relationship, does at times necessitate inventiveness. They are very well written;there are at least 7 books in the series, each around 800 pages and I have read all of them multiple times.
As far as our man here. It is my feeling that he has never forgotten what it feels like to be on our side of things. I think he still remembers working crew and how exciting it was to meet someone famous. I have seen so many videos of him meeting fans after shows in different places, and he just seems so genuinely interested in people. And his activist tendencies happened so early on, that I think that would not have changed either. I believe that line for surf lessons from our non-famous instructor would have "stretched all the way back to Terre Haute."
Which leads me to Shetellsherself. Rebel, I am glad that you have a cause, I am just sorry that you picked it up for the reason that was forced upon all of us. Last night we got a robocall from my kids' school district about increasing security because of the Conn. shooting and, of all things, because of the Mayan doomsday predictions. My oldest said that rumors are flying in his high school and some kids aren't going on Friday. It is hard to send your kids to school with a gnawing pit in your stomach. These pics will give you some much needed distraction, but sometimes it make me feel better to do something. I signed a petition today to the White House demanding that changes be made. There were over 150,000 signatures already. This could have happened anywhere, in any US school.
