I didn't know that. He's pretty cool and he has written and/or produced some of my FAVORITE films over the years.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Single Video Theory

Pretty cool that his vinyl-record-movie-soundtrack company has something to do with Ed's "Into The Wild" LP.

    Well, I think we were the only ones. :o

    Oh well, I guess it wasn't a very good topic for a thread. I just thought others may be wondering who this Vinyl Films Records company is.

    His company, "Vinyl Films Records" along with Pearl Jam's own "Monkeywrench" are putting the LP out. So, they are like partners with this release.

    Cameron Crowe is such a badass that he had to have the Master Badass MoFo himself play guitar for Stillwater.

    But, besides Master McCready's involvement, the movie just kicks ass!!!

    thats right. but this was old news to me since i LOVVVVE almost famous and watch it regularly! :D it was such a......"TREAT" to have BOTH masters-Frampton and Sir McCready be a part of this movie. LOVE IT. Love Cam Crowe.

    ohh, must have missed the partnership

    cameron crowe is truly amazing. almost famous is my favorite movie, and i love jerry mcgwire. even vanilla sky was good (mostly cuz of the soundtrack)
