One thing the end of the "Super Deluxe Box Set" has meant...

... no more B-sides/alternative cut being released.

Zero released for the No Code and Yield re-issues.

Ten, VS and Vitalogy got some new B-side gems.

I never got the deluxe box sets. While they are cool all i really want is the studio LP's without spending hundreds of dollars per record.

I kind of agree. I went for them, but I could do without all the bells and whistles (like a copy of Ed's notebook the tape). Wish there was another way to get the music without the bulky box and semi-useless extras.
The new music and alt takes were cool, I like the alt version of corduroy. And the live LPs that came with it. But if I could knock $75 off the cost and skip the packaging an extras I'd easily do it.

While that disappoints the nerdy music lover in me - I understand that they've released all they wanted to share Ten - present.

I suppose. I thought the Ten set was done well. I thought the Vs/Vitalogy set could of included more stuff like a live dvd.

All in all the Ten said was mostly for the live lp and unplugged dvd. The Vs./Vitalogy set was all about the live LP.

I got them, when I could find them as cheap as I could.

But yeah, I think that they didn't go "all out" in the way I wanted to. Should have had less "stuff" and instead maybe a book about the album, or a DVD doc about the album.

As I've said before. They had Cameron Crowe for the PJ20 doc, why couldn't they have had recorded some interviews at the same about every album released to be included with the box sets?

I'm forty, single, alone, with a small... you know... anyway, I love deluxe box sets, I like stuff, old stuff, and for those who didn't experienced the early years due to distant latitudes, replicas are superb, but yes, pity there are no b-sides, out-takes, alternative mixes and the like anymore, we all want that on box sets, we all want a lost dogs 2 (stray cats) album, vault 1 and 2 on vinyl and benny reissue on wax too, well, most of us...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

See, I love the deluxe sets for the epherma. I think thats the coolest stuff. Granted that last Deep Newsletter filled that hole. Still, it would nice to have a shelf in my expedit for all of the boxes.
