All were good but Stone thanked me so I have to give him the nod. ;)

They were all entertaining but Stone said the most. I guess he was the one who was chosen to speak on behalf of the entire band as well as himself.

I thought Stone's was fantastic but Mike's had just a touch more emotion which made it the best one for me.

Yes, Snoop's speech was the best one of the night. I'd have to relisten to the PJ speeches. I guess I'd go with Stone. They were all very nice. Dave K. seemed pretty emotional and I admit I got distracted during the 2.3 seconds he spoke - did he say something like "thanks to the band that saved my life"? Super nice that Ed thought of Dave and grabbed him right after Alive and brought him to the front of the stage.

I thought it was fitting that he spoke first and did all the name dropping thank you's. Really liked them all. Thought Mike seemed the most excited and loved his shout out to his mom about dying his hair

I think all of them were great, and though I believe Stone´s covered all the bases, I felt Jeff´s was more touching "for every small town kid who has a dream"... yeah.

How about the guy from Journey who referred to him as Chris Squire. Awkward.

The best speech is the one I gave to my wife this morning trying to convince her that I need to see more Pearl Jam concerts in the future.

Which speech do you think the other band members appreciated most? Some interesting facial expressions and body language during Ed's speech.

They looked like they were getting a bit antsy during Eddie's...long time to be on stage and not playing music.

They seemed to relax once he got past the political statements. Looked pretty tense for a bit though

I hate any political statements that aren't at a political event. Even if i agree with the statement 100%. Glad it was kept short. Rest of Eddie's speech was good but probably my least favorite of the five. The others were that good and sincere

U can tell we need a tour. We're critiquing speeches like we're historians.

I was glad Ed said what he said. It took 30 seconds and it needed to be said. Frankly, it would have been odd for him not to say anything.

Stone, cause he thanked everyone that counted to the band (so i think). knowing the names of people that work/help your day to day issues are key to your success.
but i was listening to a youtube recording with some loud lady screaming

Hopefully they can edit out most of the crowd during the speeches. Very annoying.

My vote goes to Stone because he's such a good speaker and quick thinker.

Does anyone remember who it was that mention Jello Biafra? I thought that was great too, especially having met Biafra recently- what a cool guy- and how excellent that one of the guys in the band acknowledged him.
