This sounds pretty interesting...

"...back in the tail end of 2015, it was announced that members of Texas folk-rock outfit Midlake had gotten together with a group of musical collaborators to form Banquet, and were at work on recording their debut album. Now, after shortening the name, the group, led by Midlake’s Eric Pulido, have finally announced the record.

Titled Volume 1, it will feature 10 tracks, two written and sung by each of the collective’s five singers. “Restart,” which you can listen to below, opens the album and is helmed by Pulido, while other songs will feature Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell, Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos, Travis’ Fran Healy and Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle. McKenzie Smith, Joey McClellan and Jesse Chandler, all also members of Midlake, form the backing band for the project.

In the press release for the album, Pulido describes the group as “Like a poor man’s version of the Traveling Wilburys,” stating, “That’s what art is about for me, creating with other people that you love and appreciate.”

Volume 1 is out April 28 via Dualtone/Bella Union. Listen to “Restart” and see the album art and tracklist below."

Would be great if they did a few shows, especially since Travis hasn't played the U.S. for several years.

was in the record store earlier today and the owner was playing it. I never knew about it until then. Didn't pick it up though (might later). Only really had the money for one album and it went to Gorillaz. Songs sounded pretty solid though
