WATER LANDING (Las Vegas-based indie/punk band)

Greetings fellow Jammers!

Been a while since I've been active on the PJ Forums, but I wanted to (re)introduce you to my Las Vegas based band WATER LANDING. We play mostly original tunes, with the occasional cover thrown in. I would say our 'genre', for lack of a better term is punk/new wave influenced indie rock, with a folksy tinge at times. Some of our influences are Violent Femmes, Fugazi, The Minutemen, The Aquabats, The Pixies, Neil Young, Wilco, and more. We strive to write energetic, catchy tunes while putting on a fun show, engaging with the audience and encouraging their participation.

And if you live in or ever travel to Vegas, come on out to a show! We play most of the local music venues around town, typically 1-2 shows a month, and have some good ones coming up. Tonight, we play at the famous Double Down Saloon for the 8th Anniversary of the Double Down Radio Show with some other great bands!

    Thanks! That song is actually over 15 years old! Eric, our guitar player and I, have been playing music together since 2001, and it was a song he had written in our previous band. It's evolved a bit since then, and this version was recorded last summer with this band. It's a fun song to play live too!
