Our Lady Peace/I Mother Earth tour

Has anyone seen these bands perform lately? I just noticed they are playing at a casino near me and I have the opportunity to get 2 GA's for 115$. I used to really enjoy these bands but have not listened to them at all since the late 90's and early 00's. If they are just a shadow of their former self I have no desire to get a babysitter for the night and drive a couple of hours each way to see something that will just be ok. Any insight would be great.

    I was a big fan of OLP up to and including Gravity. Their last 3 albums have left something to be desired. A little too pop radio friendly for me. To me, a lot of their work in the last decade has sounded like those inspirational guitar riffs you hear during reality tv shows. Like, if the Kardashian sisters get in a fight during a segment then start to make up right before the commercial break and there's that hopeful guitar that kicks in to swing your mood so you keep watching and see if they resolve their shitty fake problems.
    Burn Burn had a few pretty decent songs, but the album as a whole just didn't work for me. I know a lot of people fell off when Gravity came out, citing it was too "commercial" or whatever. I personally love Gravity, but if you weren't a fan of it, you most likely won't be a fan of the last decade of work. But as Dennis Miller would say: that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

    Never listened to I Mother Earth so I can't offer any help there.

    Saw them 3x in the late 90s - incredible shows. Naveed is still one of my all time favorite LPs!

    No I haven't seen them or IME since the 90's and then I saw them probs six or seven times due to Edgefest and Summersault and that damn Clumsy album wouldn't go away.lol
    I'd like to see IME with Edwin.I saw there second last show together in Calgary and they were sick!
    Abbotsford is a pain since I'd have to drive in the ferry to get there.
    They should play Sugar in Victoria or at least the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
    I know IME is playing there but why isn't this show playing there?

    I am on the other side of the country living in NB and am really thinking of going to this. I don't get chances to get out often with 2 boys under 2 and work but this one is lining up that it may work. I just checked and it is IME with Edwin. 2 GA's are $115 which is not that bad considering there will probably be 25 songs combined. You should go to the Abbotsford show and let me know if it is worth the trip. :get_outta_here:

    IME are playing without OLP in Winnipeg in October. Which is just fine with me. OLP are terrible now.

    Grand Rapids Michigan the old Intersection - sitting at the bar with my girlfriend, now wife - not even old enough to drink :) I think we were resting because our hearts were going to explode - what a show ;)

    Would love to see I Mother Earth with Edwin. Scenery and fish is a treasure IMO. Seen our lady peace on first tour and they didn't impress me much. Do like most of what I've heard of them studio wise. I'd go if they did a large state side tour.
