Watching the Wrigley shows from one of the rooftops...

What are your thoughts on this?
I have read pretty good reviews about most of these places, but I have also been warned not to do it because you can't hear the music or see much of the show.

I love the rooftops for games but shows idk... You wont see any of whats going on on the stage. But you'll hear it, be able to see the lights and the crowd. Plus all you can eat or drink. If i absolutely couldnt find a ticket id go for it.

If you try, look for the rooftops as far west on Waveland for a *possible* view. Otherwise you won't see much beyond the crowd, but at least you get open bar/food as part of the entry.

I have a buddy who lives in that tall apartment building you can see in the distance when they show a shot from the home plate side of Wrigley. He says he can hear Go Cubs Go from there every time there's a win. Sound shouldn't be your issue.

if you want to listen to the music only and get all you can eat and drink its the way to go...if I cant get inside I was thinking about doing those I don't necessarily need to see anything

Thanks for the comments...I have a guaranteed ticket to night 2 if I go this route...and I was seriously considering it. Obviously hearing it is the most important, but at least a little view would be nice as well too.

I remember watching a cubs game on TV years ago and witnessing the longest HR I have ever seen to this day... Glenallen Hill hit one onto the roof of the building across the street.... this is when it was just a normal rooftop and didn't have all the setup that it does now... straight up, dude hit a homerun out of Wrigley, across waveland, and onto THE ROOF of the building across the street

I still cant believe how far he hit that ball... I think its on youtube

I remember watching that game too! Every time they show the rooftop seating on TV I think about that homerun.

Bring your glove. I heard they are going to hit coupon filled baseballs out to the crowd.

    Ok, update time...
This was a really cool experience. From where I was sitting/standing I could see pretty good, but not great. I got to see Eddie, Mike, Stone, and Jeff, I was too far to the side to ever see Matt or Boom though. There were a couple of lights that would also shine up and were pretty bright every so often. The sound was fantastic though, it was like I was down in the stadium almost.
I was with some pretty cool people up there and the food and drinks included were amazing!!!
Overall, it was a neat experience and I am glad that I did it, but I wish that I would have been down in the GA!!!

How much was it? I would consider it for other shows.

About $150, but it includes all you can eat food and drink...any drink!

Wow, that's kind of a lot. I think I would have rather tried for a scalped ticket to get in the park and not had anything to eat or drink. My buddy actually got someone to sell him a ticket at Fenway for $23! Considering what I paid, I wanted to kick his ass, but was happy he could get in.

    Nothing since then. I suck.

Yeah, after the fact I kind of wish that too, but it was a neat thing to try.
