Kelly Slater, Greg Long and Eddie Vedder are hosting a charity kick off event for the Ohana Festival. Proceeds will benefit the San Onofre Parks Foundation.
The event is on Friday August 26, 2016 at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, California. The Roastmaster Jeff Ross will be the event host with music by John Doe of X and it will be a great night of amazing food, cocktails, music and surprises. Promoters for the first annual Ohana Music Festival, scheduled to be held at Doheny State Beach Aug. 27-28 with performances by Vedder, Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello, Band of Horses and more, announced the line-up of entertainment and unique auction items for its Ohana Luau charity gala on Aug. 26.
The event will be held at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel (1 Ritz Carlton Drive, Dana Point) and benefit The San Onofre Parks Foundation, which works with California State Parks to develop, preserve and enhance recreation at California coastal parks. The Luau will also serve as the exclusive kick-off party to the inaugural two-day Ohana Music Festival and include a special set by John Doe of X and Vedder is scheduled to perform a few songs as well.
Hosted by Vedder and pro-surfer Kelly Slater, the Ohana Luau will include a live auction, run by comedian and Roastmaster General Jeff Ross, which features one-of-a-kind items such as a Kelly Slater signed surfboard, an autographed Eddie Vedder guitar and various other gift packages courtesy of Volcom, GoPro, InCase and more.
Guests will also be treated to an elaborate dinner, prepared by chef Brian Sundeen at The Ritz-Carlton and can check out a collection of priceless surfboards on loan from the collection at the Surfing Heritage and Cultural Center in San Clemente.
With a cap of just 500 attendees, there are currently a limited number of packages available to attend the charity gala starting at $999. Other packages, which run between $3,999-$6,999 for two, include admission to the Ohana Luau, dinner and the live entertainment, three-night coastal view accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, various gift baskets, hotel and shuttle perks and either VIP or general admission passes to both days of the Ohana Music Festival.
