Greenville FlacHD sounds great

    I plan on ripping the cd to my hard drive as flac and then playing through my network to a Yamaha rx-a1050 receiver. I know it's hard to tell but should that give me decent sound?

    I'm not sure what a pono is but I don't really want to have to buy another device to play music.

    That should give you more than decent sound. If you're just playing CDs or FLACs, a Pono is not necessary.
