Mexico City's Setlist (No Ten and no Covers Please)

Hello,

I have been very disappointed with the band's recent setlists. They've been playing lots of songs from Ten, lots of covers and very fews songs from albums from the middle of their discography (my favorites). Honestly, it seems as:

1- They just want to give the stadium crowds sing along songs to have them entertained.
2- They have forgotten the most creative and artistic part of their career and, with it, many hardcore fans that, for example, would love to hear songs from that era. Could it be that they underestimate latin american fans?

Last time they came to México I made a post similar to this one and, luck, or not (I prefer to think they actually read it) the setlist was the best they have played in México. A real delight for the live-long fans. I believe they still got it and that they do read this forums, so I leave here a list of ten songs the have never played in México:

    They play what they want to play and what the crowd wants to here. Dimi's thing was different because that was one song and Dimi has done so much for this community.

    I think the South American set lists have been amazing but there is no such thing as a setlist that will please everyone.

    On the other side of the coin OP, consider how many fans would be disappointed to not hear any Ten or covers.

    I think PJ has a pretty great balance of pleasing the masses and still doing something for the passionate fans, and this is a pretty tough thing to do knowing the dream setlist for a casual fan and the dream setlist for a passionate fan are polar opposites.

    They have already played in Mexico City both Insignificance and I Got Id, back in 2005.

    I'm sorry but this is a ridiculous request. I've no problem with song requests but this is just insane. The recent sets are fucking fantastic and along with hits (for larger crowds) they've mixed in some gems and the sets have a great flow to them.

    I'd agree that I'd like to see them play less off Ten and less covers, but just enjoy the show and be thankful you're seeing the greatest band in the world!

    This is real? At first I read it as a spoof in the thread about ten on the porch.

    I don't think you can say its a PJ show without Even Flow and Alive! Plus I want to hear Once, Porch, and Jeremy every show if I got to pick.

    Newsflash--- all crowds cheer the loudest for songs from Ten. You dont think the band loves that? Doesnt matter where in the world they are. Everyone wants those tunes. More importantly, Ten is one of their top 2 or 3 albums. I'll never get tired of hearing Ten.

    Yeah..., you´ll be disappointed for sure. Don´t waste your money. Besides, I don´t think you´ve been paying much attention to the last setlists, otherwise this thread wouldn´t exist.
