My Bridge School Benefit dream

I dreamt that when the Bridge site announced PJ was performing and within minutes it was removed. Nice dreams.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

Right, but like the COS link said, they were there at first, then they weren't. There have been additions to the lineup after the initial announcement many times.

    Fingers crossed!

Is this where the show list goes?

    11-26-91 / 8-2-92 / 3-15-94 / 7-9-95 / 7-11-95 / 8-29-98 / 9-1-00 / 10-25-03
    10-23-04 / 10-22-06 / 10-9-09 / 10-23-10 / 10-3-12 / 7-9-13 / 10-21-13
    11-24-13 / 11-26-13 / 10-17-14 / 10-20-14 / 10-25-14 / 4-8-16 / 4-9-16

If you wanted to sell as many tickets as possible, why would you wait to announce Pearl Jam later? It makes no sense. The Bridge School Facebook page said it was an error. I'm thinking they copy and pasted last year's lineup for a template or something and forgot to delete Pearl Jam. I still think another act will be announced, but I'm taking 10C at its word that Global Citizen will be their only U.S. appearance this year.

Maybe it was a glitch. But it could be an embargo thing, where they can't announce it until after Global Citizen. (That happens with Coachella a lot, where bands announce tours for the future but add in the Cali dates after they play.) It could be the old "if you really need us to pump up sales, we (or just Ed) will come." Neil has called in favors before--like Arcade Fire being added two weeks out in 2013: http://consequenceofsound.net/2013/10/arcade-fire-added-to-neil-youngs-bridge-school-benefit/ . The show sold out shortly afterwards.

    I don't see how a 5-6 song mini-set at a benefit contradicts the "only U.S. appearance" announcement.

An embargo that covers the entire country for a whole month after the event? That seems way too restrictive if you ask me.

I still think at least one more act will be announced, but I just don't think it'll be Pearl Jam. I hope I'm wrong, though! Eddie showing up solo (announced or not) would be more likely.

I'm just guessing, like we all are. Not a strict embargo per se, but a courtesy of not announcing Bridge until after Global.

They'll probably need to add something. There isn't an group or artist on the bill besides Neil Young that could currently do a headliner show at Shoreline. I didn't even realize the Dixie Chicks still existed, though it looks like they toured Europe and Canada the past couple of years, and they're second billed.

This is a doubly weird year for Bridge, as Neil is playing an already sold-out show at the Greek in Berkeley the weekend before.
