Please Help a Fellow Fan but Hurry! Additional entries donated out- offer ended

I’m throwing this in here in case some of you don’t venture over to the Porch or AET or the other threads as I intend to post this in them all. Please know there are some great things to be had in this raffle fundraiser (check the link below) like: EV’s set list from April 23, 2003 in Champaign, IL; Signed/numbered PJ poster; Opened Riot Act vinyl in excellent shape; 2008 Official Bootlegs Box Set; Pearl jam stickers and pin pack; EV Guitar XL T-Shirt and LB socks (both never worn), XL Crashious Hoodie with crows; Foo Fighters original set list from the David Letterman Show on April 12, 2011 and a bunch more vinyl, posters and PJ stuff to numerous to list. Again, check the link below for a list of items and read through the thread as there may be more stuff that was donated but not in the list.

Okay, so I guess I’m going to have to go all PBS/WGBH, public television/radio fund drive on your asses. We have a pretty decent goal and we’re just about a third of the way there, thanks to all who have so generously donated thus far but we need to get to our ultimate goal as the deadline is fast approaching!

As some of you might be familiar, one of the things that happens during those PBS/WGBH fund drives is that an anonymous donor will step up and match pledges. Well in this case, someone has stepped up and will donate one entry for every three or more entries made, up to sixteen entries. Basically, they’re donating $5.00 for each individual who donates $15 or more to the cause, to a limit of $80.00 or 16 entries. That’s right Martha, its like getting 25% more for free. But here’s the kicker, we have to get 16 new entries of $15.00 or more for the anonymous donor to pledge their $80.00. I know, I know, but it’ll hopefully spur those people who donated to encourage others to do the same or more! Thanks Stew, you’re right, except I’m not sure if it’s the same as increasing your chances by 25%. I think that might depend on the number of total entries and the number of entries in your name. I think that sounds right Martha but I was never good in math, particularly figuring odds and probabilities. I didn’t go to MIT you know. Ha, ha, right again Stew!

So, there you have it. Go to the link and make a pledge. But hurry, there is only 16 “free” entries to be had and they have to be made by 12:00 p.m. EST Saturday, May 2nd so I can communicate the list of entrants who will get another entry for the raffle. If you pledge, PM your forum name and amount so I can communicate your additional entry to Eliot Rosewater by Sunday. I’ll periodically post how many entries are left.

    1 is the loneliest number that I ever saw. So, make a donation of $15 or greater and reach or exceed $3000. You get an extra entry in the raffle and the anonymous donor kicks in $80. Either way, we're on our way to $3100. C'mon, who's it gonna be? Don't let 1 be lonely!
