$500 and $200. Wowee. Are the food and at least some drinks included? It's not really clear on the website...

    I think it does...
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Yeah, I saw that part... but I don't know if that means it's included or not. Particularly the bar part. Is a hosted bar an open bar?? If it's an open bar, then that's a hell of a lot more appealing for the ticket price, lol.

When bar service is offered to guests at an event free of charge, it is known as a “host bar.” This is in contrast with a cash or no-host bar, at which guests are expected to pay for their own drinks.

So...might be a free for all, or they will give you drink tickets. Looking at the sponsors, looks like beer, Dicks, and coffee.

This video was interesting! Using the live choir seemed to increase the audience's enjoyment of the performance and it set me off on a whole long train of thought.

In the past, to get a louder volume, you needed MORE instruments to play louder pieces. Large orchestras were created because composers wanted the greater contrast and the fuller sound for larger spaces. More people, more instruments, more sound!

In these modern days, we're used to electronic effects, amplified instruments, even lots of recorded tracks, etc. to fill out the texture of pieces. It's possible for people like Liam Finn and Joseph Arthur to accompany themselves with loops and recorded parts, etc. It works! One man band, impressive...

However, this choir added bodies and added volume and added the human element. In a similar way to the crowd singing at a PJ concert. Volume, numbers, the whole exciting human activity!

Kind of like those first huge symphony orchestras or choruses... :)

    (My long train of thought.)
