    Here's the text from Loudwire-->

    Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready is a student of his instrument and his interest spans beyond the world of rock. As such, McCready has signed on to join the Seattle Symphony during a performance this coming January at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall.
    According to GuerrillaCandy.com, the guitarist will take part in the ‘Sonic Evolution’ series, which is being curated by the symphony’s music director Ludovic “Ludo” Morlot. The series pits musicians from local pop, rock and hip-hop acts with the symphony to provide a different perspective on the music. The most recent concert found the symphony playing an orchestral rendition of ‘Baby Got Back’ with rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot.
    The January 30 performance at Benaroya Hall will find the Seattle Symphony tackling music from the city’s rich grunge rock scene, with renditions of songs by Pearl Jam, Nirvana and more. Adding to the night’s theme, McCready will join the symphony onstage for their performance. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
    McCready is one of many musicians who have dabbled in the symphonic world. The most recent example was Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine, who played with the San Diego Symphony. However, that set was more in line with some symphonic classics, as Mustaine riffed his way through Vivaldi’s ‘Summer’ and ‘Winter,’ as well as Wagner’s ‘Ride of the Valkyries.’ Check out video from that show by clicking the button below.
