SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC has announced that the Second Leg of the 2014 MLS Western Conference Semifinals against FC Dallas on Monday, November 10 is sold-out. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PST on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (NBCSN, Univision Deportes / 97.3 KIRO FM and ESPN Deportes 1490 AM), with an MLS-capacity crowd on-hand to support the Rave Green.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. PST ahead of pre-match festivities that include a National Anthem performance by Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready. As lead guitarist for the Grammy Award-winning, Seattle-based rock group, McCready will serenade the Sounders FC faithful with an instrumental rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner. McCready is appearing on behalf of Treehouse for Kids, a local organization dedicated to giving foster kids a childhood and future.
Following the National Anthem, there is a stadium-wide, coordinated card stunt featuring match-specific cards that will be distributed to fans upon arrival at CenturyLink Field.
Monday’s March to the Match begins at 5:45 p.m. PST in Pioneer Square featuring a performance by local indie band Barcelona.
As a part of the club’s Good Playoff Karma campaign, fans are invited to attend an official Sounders FC Playoff Rally held at Fuel Sports on Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. PST. That event, hosted by Ken Carson and Ross Fletcher, features a raffle for autographed merchandise and copies of EA SPORTS FIFA ’15 games for Xbox One and Xbox 360. There is also a special drink menu that includes Sounders-centric cocktails sponsored by El Jimador and Sounders FC, with 10 percent of all proceeds from drink purchases going to the Fisher House Foundation.
PEMCO Insurance will be at Friday’s rally with an 8’ x 12’ Sounders FC MLS Cup Playoffs flag in an attempt to “Fill the Flag” with 9,000 fan signatures in the name of Good Playoff Karma. Fans can also tweet their names using the hashtag #FillTheFlag, and PEMCO will sign the flag on their behalf. Following this season’s postseason run, the flag will be displayed at Starfire Sports, the club’s training facility in Tukwila, Wash. At Friday’s rally, PEMCO is also offering Sounders FC fans the opportunity to take and print photos with the 2014 Supporters’ Shield.
Additionally, Sounders FC is offering fans an opportunity to place one dollar deposits for 2015 season ticket memberships. Deposits can be placed at http://sndrs.com/lqvc using the promo code “KARMA” until November 14.
Sounders FC continues its quest for the 2014 MLS Cup with the Second Leg of the Western Conference Semifinals. After last weekend’s 1-1 draw at FC Dallas, Sounders FC can advance to the Western Conference Finals with a win or a scoreless draw. Whoever advances out of the two-match, aggregate series will take on the winner the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake series.
