Attention Columbus area fans….

Two things…

1. I know there are a bunch of you and I'm curious if you guys ever get together or anything? I moved to Columbus a few months ago and am finally settled in. I sold some prints before moving and I think some people mentioned getting together for beers here and there..

2. I have an extra ticket for the Black Keys next Friday at the Schott that I'd let go for less than face if anyone wanted to go. It's a good reserved seat in sec 121 I got through the Black Keys pre-sale and now my buddy can't make it, only catch is they do the paperless ticketing thing so you would have to actually go in with me.

    Welcome to C-Bus!!
There are a bunch of GREAT PJ fans here & while we don't have any organized get-togethers,
I know that many of us would LOVE to meet up for a brew ANYTIME!!!
Let's try to figure out a good time when we can get together & hang out!!
What part of town are you in??
I'm up near Polaris & love to hang out at this little place on 161 called The Crafty Pint...
really good place for craft brews & the food is really good too!!
101 Beer Kitchen on Sawmill in Dublin is a GREAT place as well & they have an AWESOME weekend brunch menu!!
I work at WBNS-10TV in Grandview...so anyplace there or in the Short North would work too!
We're hitting a really exciting time with OSU Football season starting TODAY & the first home game next weekend...PLUS...the PJ Fall Tour kicking off just down the road in Cincinnati in just 32 days!!
You picked a good time to move to the 614!
    :-bd

I'm from Milwaukee so drinking and craft beer are not a problem for me, that I can promise you. I spend enough of my money on prints and framing so I don't need any encouragement in that department either!!

I did a short term lease on a townhouse in Delaware not knowing the area too well before I moved, now the hunt begins for a house. I actually work in the Polaris area, so I'm in that neighborhood pretty much every day. Only area I've really hung out in so far is the Short North at a couple little places. I actually have a growler in the fridge from some brewery in the short north right now.

You're pretty close to both me & Heisenberg then...and as my good friend mentioned,
I can introduce you to Julia, the BEST framer in town, if you need one to support your HABIT!! ;)
Do you have to deal with all of the construction on the US 23 / Trench project??
It's been a BIG hassle for me, but I work downtown!!
Give us a few dates & times that would work for your schedule & we'll figure out a place & time to grab a few!!

I do commute down 23 but I turn off onto Polaris Parkway so I avoid all the real crap going on by 23 & 270.

…I always have things that need framing, maybe I'll give Julia a chance on one.. I'd be free Monday evening or Friday next week, after that I'm pretty open. I'd love to get together and have some beers, talk some fall tour.

Welcome to Columbus, IMO the most underrated city in the US! Lots of PJ fans here though I've never met anyone from the boards. Would totally be down for a meet up/drink sesh.

I live in Clintonville, there are so many great neighborhoods and areas of town so def don't be afraid to explore. If you're into records hitting the shops is a great way to see the city and explore. I tragically work right by that 23 construction mess, but maybe that means it's convenient to do a HH at the Winking Lizard or something? I work late all this month but on days I don't I could wait out traffic with beers and some PJ heads.

Let me know when & where and I'll try to make it.
I can't do Wednesday night this week, going to the Wilco show at The LC that evening!!

Mmm, I miss the Winking Lizard. They seemed to have expanded a lot over the last few years but none have popped up in NWO yet.

The Winking Lizard in Grandview is really nice...
they took over an old Hoggy's BBQ place & turned it into a good sports bar!!
I've been to the one on Bethel too,
but never done the one in the Crosswoods/23 area,
but always up for a new place!!

It's basically the same as the others, pretty spacious. Comparable to the Bethel road location. I almost went to the Crafty Pint Sunday night, been meaning to check it out. I'll be working late a lot this month, got a wedding and PJ shows to pay for, but you guys let me know and I'll do my best to stop in and say hello.

I'm happy waiting for a couple weeks if everyone can get out, be nice to meet up before the fall tour gets rolling! I have a feeling I'll be seeing most of you in Cincy anyway!

Still have that extra for the Keys this Friday too if anyone wants it. $50 and it's yours. $90 ticket that I can't seem to get rid of because it's paperless and you'd have to enter with me.

How does the week of the 22nd look to everyone??
I'm good any night that week except Wednesday...we shoot the bulk of our
"Game Time With Urban Meyer" show that evening after practice wraps up at 6pm!
I'm good with Winking Lizard or The Crafty Pint, either one is pretty easy for me to swing by on the way home from the TV station.

Winking Lizard would probably be better for a larger group, but Crafty Pint is a better bar.
Wish I could take you up on the Black Keys show EdVed007 but I'm sick as a dog right now and I'm leaving town on Sunday for a week. If my condition changes I'll let you know.

I wiiish I could do the Keys show as well. Think the lady would get jealous if I go without her but if anything changes I'll let ya know.

I work til 6:30 M-W the week of the 22nd. Have a dentist appt 9/25 at 5:00 but I'd be done by 6:00 fo sho. How about 9/25 at 6:00, lizard or crafty. I'll still be right by lizard but wouldn't mind checking out the pint since I've never been. You decide 2000.

9/25 at 6pm works for me!!
It looks like there are only gonna be 4 of us going and The Crafty Pint has some counter height tables for 6 right by the door / bar area...or if it's not real HOT they have a new patio there too!!
Matt/Heisenberg & I have been there a few times and it's a really good place for craft beers and the food is GREAT too!!
I'm good with Winking Lizard if you'd rather go there too,
but it's a little bit harder to get to now with all of the construction on 23!
Let me know your preference and I'm looking forward to meeting you guys!!
    Who's READY for CINCY??

Welcome to Columbus! I'm in the Westerville area and you'll never go bored around here. Did you know we're within 500 miles of 50% of the U.S. population? Also, our 2000 bootleg was an Ape/Man show!

I'll have to check out the Crafty Pint. I work in the area and have been curious about it! And avoid 23 and 270 for the next couple of years! I drive down Wilson Bridge Rd to and from work and traffic there has been horrendous since construction started and they changed the light signal pattern.

"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

Hell yeah I'm ready for Cincy and I'm in for meeting up for a few Beers. Mon - Thur is tough for me. My wife works nights so its just me and the kids those nights.

I haven't been to either place yet, so I defer to all of you and your good judgment, but this Crafy Pint place sounds plenty aright to me. The 25th works for me to, I'd probably be there about 6:15-6:30 depending on traffic!
