Alpine is almost 3 years ago. How about giving us SOME word on the bootlegs?

Come on already PJ management. Where are the bootlegs? This is unbelievable. A special weekend like that shouldn't be kept away from the fans. SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I have resigned to this bootleg never happening. I hope PJ surprises us though!

My guess is it'll be the Vault release sometime in the 2020s.

Holding back for a Vault release one day, maybe the same for Wrigley. Or maybe they'll never get released.

Any word regarding IF these boots will be released would be appreciated. I would assume these are being held for a rainy day as a Vault release. It would be an absolute travesty and shame if these boots are never released. I'm not buying it that they will never be released.

The first night was one of the sloppiest shows I've ever seen/heard from Pearl Jam. I wouldn't be surprised if they had big plans to release these shows (DVD/Blue Ray, box set, etc) but went back and didn't like how it turned out.
I remember hearing the Philly 2009 shows were pro-shot (lots of footage was used for PJ20) but the band wasn't happy with it and scrapped releasing it.

So just give us a basic download then. I don't need anything special- I just want to hear it.

I remember someone posting that they spoke to Jeff in depth about PJ20 at a RNDM show and Jeff said there were issues with capturing the recording.

It didn't sound promising, I do remember that.

it was the "year of the fan" i think Curtis said in one of the roundtables...if that were true, they would have explained what was going to happen with the boots right after PJ20...the most rabid fan-base out there and we can't even get a comment on PJ20...typically sad, unfortunately.

So a "sloppy" show has ever held them back from releasing a boot in the past? Great weekend and two special shows - it would be a travesty if the boots are not released. The fact we haven't heard a peep about these bootlegs is mind boggling.

With it being almost 3 years since PJ20, my belief is they'll release it as a bootleg/vinyl offering on the five year anniversary. Wrigley Field will be a Vault release at some point but probably won't have the same hoopla made about it like PJ20.

I was at night 1. I also remember that being a very sloppy night. I remember saying to my wife that I don't think they would release that on bootleg, it was pretty bad. Great setlist. lots of sound issues.

I assume this to be true..... You would think they'd just release a regular boot of each night though. There are plenty of official boots of very sloppy shows, so I don't see why they'd care about making this one. That said, since they haven't done this already, I don't think they ever will.

Heck, State College '03 was sloppy with forgotten words and all and that was still released. Being at both Wrigly and PJ20, I would much much rather have a PJ20 bootleg over a Wrigley one.

    I'd rather both. ;)
But yeah, tons of sloppy boots. The Vancouver '13 show was, while awesome for several different reasons, super sloppy - loads of fuck ups and forgotten lyrics and shit. There is still a boot, and it's still super fun to listen to.

WHAT IF... now bare with me. what if they are saving it so one day when they hang the hat (they are all 50+) which hopefully doesnt come for another 40 years, but what if they are planning a massive drop. an all 50 state tour, bootlegs from early shows, ticketmaster tour, mia, alpine, wrigley, early club shows (which were all recorded, the pj20 dvd proved that), the night at moore, the singles party show, all of it! a massive drop! vinyl issues, lost dogs 2, etc... now. thats not what im hoping for. but just a thought. an all 50 state tour hell yea. but the rest id love to see long before their final years haha
    2012 - MIA (Philly)
    2013 - Philly 1, philly 2, charlottesville,
    2015 - NYC (global citizen)

They're not all 50+. EV's 50th is in December I think. Mike just turned 48 I believe, and Stone's still 47. Matt and Jeff are 50+... and I think look the youngest, lol. (not that it matters btw..... but if someone is still under 50 they deserve the credit, hhaha).

I heard that Gorge 05 was filmed and never released too. It's too bad, it would make for an epic Bluray :)
