Search Function to find forum members

Have looked through features in search box and fiddled with every other link.
Still can not find a way to send a PM to a forum member knowing their forum name.

Please let me know where I need to look for this.

you do or do not know their forum name?

if you do just go to inbox, new message and start typing their name.

just bring friend list back..cant rememebr all the usernames or how to spell their name, etc..
