"At the artist's request, the first 10 rows of the main floor are restricted to night of show will call pickup only. This is to prevent reselling and ensure that ticket buyers can access these seats directly from the venue at the original price offered.

Please be aware of the following restrictions:

The original purchaser must claim the tickets in person on the night of show, starting 90 minutes prior to show time. Please bring your confirmation number, a photo I.D., and the credit card used for purchase.
No advance pick up.
No name changes.
No third parties may pick up the tickets on your behalf (sorry, this includes friends and relatives).

These restrictions are necessary to ensure that true fans have access to these seats at the original price offered. If you, the credit card holder, will not be able to claim the tickets in person on the night of show, please click "Decline" below and purchase tickets outside of the first 10 rows main floor. Thanks and enjoy! "

What do you think?

Ticketmaster is the biggest scalper of them all, so until they are stopped from scalping their own supply, the fans will be screwed either way.

Or you could just give 10c'ers their tickets as the enter the venue so they couldn't resell them after getting them.

The days of buying tickets from the venue or box office are over.
Most sites say : We are a resale market place, not a box office or a venue.
We are independently owned and operated and specialize in sales in the secondary market.
Then they jack up the prices from ten to thousands of dollars , depending on seat location and event.
They immediately obtain the vast majority of the tickets.
Legislative action is the only way to substantially reduce this.

I love that PJ sells the GA at face.
Went to buy tickets for ArcadeFire and I can get really good seats through TM but for $400?!?
    Thanks but no.

    Thank you 10C!

Okee dokee, this is about the place in the discussion that someone jumps to the defense of the scalpers and gives a (misguided) lesson on "free markets" while completely ignoring the impact to supply and demand when an entity or groups of entities are cornering the market (pssst, that's actually illegal in the securities business).

So scalpers, let's hear your side!
