Unless there was already one. Then more love. Don't know how this wasn't a bigger hit

I love this song I think it kicks ass. I love Avocado in general, think the whole album is great, and this song is just so awesome. The riff and solos are badass, and Matt sounds awesome, studio version or live.

I loved hearing it in Hartford last year. Too bad Mike's guitar was low for the solo.

It is my number one most played song on my ipod. Absolutely LOVE the studio version and is always a huge treat live. It's not my overall favortie, but is very close. Love that siren sounding riff Mike does.

It was the first song I heard live and my personal favorite over the last five albums.

    Avocado>>>> Backspacer

Easily. And severed hand is indeed a great song live and studio.... Although that whole drop D or lowered tuning done recently on the avocado songs sounds terrible. Honestly Ed could easily just sing in a lower/easier tone and have the rest of the song the same and it would be much better than it is now. Comatose is especially terrible that way.

The song kicks serious ass, just like the whole album does. Avocado is definitely much more of a solid hard rock album that is missing from today's music. While I do appreciate Backspacer for what it is, I really hope that the new album that PJ is working on is more Avocado than Backspacer.

This mostly and I don't even think S/T stands up to their previous catalog that well. Then again, I like the songs on BS(FoN, SoS) that hardly anybody cares for so what do I know?

I don't think they play Severed Hand lower thankfully. There's tunes where the downtuning works and where it doesn't work. I'm not sure if Ed could pull off Force of Nature in standard tuning. I really like the big ballsy open chords at the beginning of Comatose with the down tune, but the rest of the tune loses a little urgency to it. Never a huge fan of it anyway, but it blows up live. Then listening back it's not as good.

No argument here! I love the song. And I know I'm in the minority, but I liked the green lasers they used to use during it.
