    A band I must see.

They recently played in Bethesda, Md and Richmond, Va.

I couldn't make either but did alert a friend. She so enjoyed the Richmond show.

Obama's chief of staff was at the Bethesda show.

    amen.
went to the scranton show on wednesday myself. it was awesome. philly in a week! hopin to score me some of those nice front row bleacher seats on the balcony. managed to get up front on pat's side in scranton...nice view and great sound, but i'm really not a fan of standing and being crammed in one spot for 3 hours.

man the two nights in NJ were great
I was in the first row of the balcony last night and that is really the best seat in the house for a GA show

got shutout when they went on sale in jersey. girlfriend got em for me when i went to see her in savannah, that show was amazing. she couldnt get over how long they kept playing (8 till about 1045 with no break!!!) i should have gone to the jersey shows but i need to save money. they are doing a 3 day festival in Mass. in august. should be epic. EASILY my 2nd favorite band right now.

Listening to the live stream.....opened with "wilco", then into "I am going to Break Your Heart".

I think I'd prefer seeing them live over PJ!

Wilco doesn't really have any mandatory radio hits to perform, so it seems more pure of a show.

I actually felt that way when I saw them a month ago. Previously, I had only ever seen them opening for Neil Young, so I didn't know how epic and diverse their set could really be. There were only a few songs that I felt they HAD to play (don't know how I figured that)...and they didn't even do a couple of the ones I thought were going to be played for certain. I got my "Via Chicago", "Jesus Etc." and "Handshake Drugs" which were the top of my list and all that really mattered to me. :) All in all, it was a fantastic show filled with so many unexpected favourites. Although they're almost all "favourites" lately. Kinda like Pearl Jam that way...it's impossible to compile a short list of must-hears as it quickly turns into a top 50!

as far as radio hits go they are really hard to find. the band has a history of not aiming to establish a radio hit and aside from "you never know" never really had one. i think "cant stand it" from summerteeth was re-edited for radio but never broke out. there are a few staples: "im the man who loves you", "heavy metal drummer", "i am trying to break your heart", "spiders", "handshake drugs", and "jesus etc" show up almost every set list ive seen. the new album is good and as stellar as YHF and A Ghost is Born are, im def more partial to Sky Blue Sky. i really hope they start releasing official bootlegs.

I've seen Wilco/Jeff Tweedy a half dozen times. Truly great band.

When they streamed those shows live last week, it was incredible. What a cool thing for a band to do!!! Especially such a great live band.

I'm not a huge huge fan and didn't go to the show the other night in philly, but I know a few people who went. Here's what they had to say:
That was my favorite Wilco show in years...just over three hours, with a mini semi-stripped-down set in the middle. After promising not to be too chatty early on, Tweedy starting making jokes and being hillarious somewhere around the start of Hour 2. Here's the setlist:

    1. Wilco (The Song)
    2. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart
    3. Ashes Of American Flags
    4. Bull Black Nova
    5. You Are My Face
    6. One Wing
    7. A Shot In The Arm
    8. I'll Fight
    9. Company In My Back
    10. Pot Kettle Black
    11. Handshake Drugs
    12. California Stars
    13. Impossible Germany
    14. Poor Places

    Set 2:
    15. Spiders (Kidsmoke)
    16. You And I
    17. Sunken Treasure
    18. That's Not The Issue
    19. Forget The Flowers
    20. Laminated Cat
    21. War On War
    22. Passenger Side
    23. Outta Mind (Outta Sight)

    Set 3:
    24. Airline To Heaven
    25. Via Chicago
    26. Hate It Here
    27. Walken
    28. Jesus, Etc.
    29. Theologians
    30. You Never Know
    31. I Must Be High
    32. Can't Stand It
    33. Heavy Metal Drummer
    34. I'm The Man Who Loves You
    35. In The Street

    Set 4:
    36. Dreamer In My Dreams
    37. Casino Queen
    38. Outtasite (Outta Mind)
