I dunno if Eddie wants more whores than he already has. ;)

If you don't know what I'm talking about.... there's an article (somebody help me out here which article - I have poor memory!) where Eddie refers B sides as "whores".
JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
    EV: It's your band.

I Agree, Unthought Known would be great.

While from I've heard (ahem) it's a great track (best on the album perhaps)--not sure there is enough of a chorus though for this to work well for radio.

Supersonic is the song I think would work best on radio. Would have been a better first single than The Fixer.

    LMFAO!

    You serious?!

That track has 2009 "Given To Fly" written all over it, WITH a better solo!

THAT TRACK WOULD TEAR UP THE AIRWAVES!

    Agree with this.

Gonna See my Friend, Got Some, Supersonic would work well as far as rockers for the radio.

Just breathe though ... breathtaking. Radio is not worthy.

I haven't heard the album yet, but based on the "making of Backspacer" mini-movie, I would bet Got Some and Just Breathe will be the 2nd and 3rd singles in that order.

I've only heard The Fixer, Supersonic, Got Some and the Speed of Sound Demo. Of those I would go with Got Some. Of course I haven't heard the whole album so I will hold my judgment and prediction until then.

    Hopefully that will be Friday...

They should try the double a-side.. Gonna see my friend on one side, unthought known on the other. THAT would be great.

What about FORCE OF NATURE. They played a good bit of it on espn last night to open the phils-mets game. I think it would be a good choice

Since they played Got Some to open the first Conan, it would make sense to me that they had some plans for it.

were those appearances before or after their respective albums were released? I think that might make the difference. Got Some was performed before anything from the new album was heard.

No way.. it would totally work. It their most anthematic song since Ten. It has Alive/Given to Fly written all over it.. this song was designed to be a hit.

honestly any track could be the next single. it's that good of an album. I favor Got Some or Amongst The Waves though.

I think Got Some will be the next single. Someone who works at Target posted on here a while back that there was going to be a sticker on the CDs that said "Including The Fixer and Got Some".

I think they should let radio decide.. see which song seems to be getting the most attention on release.. sort of like how Last Kiss became a hit.

I always found is peculiar that Got Some was initially the b-side to the Fixer single and was pulled at the last minute and replaced with Supersonic.

The only reason that made any sense to me for that switch was that consideration was being given to Got Some as the 2nd single...

in the uk - it is got some and just breathe

will be one of these 2 -- big mistake should be either

against the waves or unthought known
they would both be huge hits----

i think the band does a terrible job--- of picking radio singles-- -- basically only complaint i ever had of this amazing band
