No, I don't really think that. It's weird though to look at the last few song titles:

Supersonic (Oasis)
Force of Nature (Oasis)
Speed of Sound (Coldplay)
The End (The Doors)

Oh. And don't forget the Beatles.

Abbey Road. The final tract is called "The End". What a coincidence.

Those are pretty generic titles though.

Go to the iTunes store, do some searches for song titles and you'll find dozens of bands that share the same song names. There's only so many words in the English language. Do you want Pearl Jam to start making up new words or something?

Song titles are just for reference. They aren't copyrighted art.

The non-album b-side to the Fixer will be called "Stairway to Heaven".

PJ doesn't like wankers from the UK (Beatles, Coldplay, Oasis) so I doubt PJ ever heard of those three bands. Well maybe they heard of Oasis..., You guys always seem to forget that PJ is influenced by good ole grass root American music like the Who, the Kiss, the Doors and the Sex Pistols....

I'm having trouble telling if this is said in jest or said without a clue... I'm sorry, but the Who and the Sex Pistols are not American...

The Who and Sex Pistols are from the UK. And I'm pretty sure PJ has heard of the Beatles.

granted the Beatles may be "wankers" but i'm pretty certain Pearl Jam has heard of Coldplay and Oasis. They're kind of like...peers :P

Who cares about song titles? As long as the music is good I don't care what they call the song!

If "Speed of Sound" becomes a single they should do a cover version of Coldplay's song as a b-side.

I don't know guys, this might be a trend. I mean, they also have "Baba O'Riley," and "Rockin in the Free World." I think a few other bands had songs by the same name.

I actually dig that idea. Seriously, just to see if PJ can turn that song into something good.

Edit: The same procedure applied to The End (the one by The Doors, I don't know the Beatles one) would be even more appealing.

These two so called bands should not be mentioned on this board. Now do a Bart Simpson & write it down 100 times on your blackboard " Rubbish bands should not be mentioned on The Porch" then go stand in the corner of the room & think about what you have done!
