Re: Queens of the Stone Age
Super-bummer of a show tonight up in Madison, WI. Outdoor show, great weather, amazing opening set by Royal Blood, a stellar long setlist on paper. Then Josh went off the rails, they cut 7 songs and 40 minutes off the show and walked off after 80 minutes. Heartbreaker. Drove 6 hours after a shitty day for that. -

Re: Queens of the Stone Age
The sound was iffy where I was too (rail to the left of Josh). But honestly, I was just happy to see Josh seeming sober/okay after the Madison show that I didn't mind too much. Got a setlist from the stage after the show and saw they cut Unreborn Again and that was disappointing, but they played You Can't Quit Me Baby and… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
So… I was wrong about the song suggestions. The setlist live was fan fucking tastic. Like Merkin said. Homme knows how to work a crowd. They turned Make it Wicu into a singalong and it worked. When it came on I was like ok. Here we go. But it turned into something great. High energy. Poster sucked. That’s my only… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
About 95% of the live shows I listen to from youtube are post ...Like Clockwork. It seemed they really emphasized that album and played it for most part in its entirety. They had a few other random songs from other albums scattered in the setlist. Do you think they will follow the same formula this tour in playing Villains… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
Good show in Eugene last night. Seems a few songs got cut from the setlist again. The venue is fully seated but they allowed the crowd to come up and fill in the aisles of the first ten rows. One of the few venues that allows re-entry so I was able to get some schwag and take it to the car. Not a big fan of EoDM but the… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
Saw QOTSA live twice this past week. First show was Frankfurt. Josh started the show with a face mask on and I couldn’t figure out, what kind of mask it was, as there were no screens and my seats (first row, but still too far from the stage) were behind the GA section. Was worried about a covid thing first, but he sang two… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
Late commenting on the Madison show... I drove up from Chicago and generally enjoyed it despite getting cut short. I could believe it either way if they cut short due to noise restrictions or Josh being injured. The venue was a pain in that the security line was laughably slow... kinda par for the course for just about… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
I saw them open for the Pumpkins in 1999. They also played a one off headline show in Tallahassee on an off day from OzzFest. think it was like the 2nd show of that tour. Saw them twice at the Cotton Club in ATL in 2000. once between the 1st and 2nd album and then probably on the same tour as the video you posted. I was… -
Re: Queens of the Stone Age
Wow We literally got to our seats as Smile played over the PA. Work ,traffic and a few other things created a very stressful situation but once No One Knows started, all that stress was erased. Place was packed and the band and crowd were on fire. Incredible show and there are obviously so many songs I’d love to see but…
