The last time I saw Pearl Jam was 2000 in Toronto ... following the band this week from Ottawa to Hamilton and Toronto has been close to exactly 22 years in the making ♥️
These shows are coming at such the right time, it's almost providential. I Just finished going through a separation/divorce (I'd qualify that with "painful" but that's sort of baked into the cake of divorce) and limped my way to this week in many ways.
So the slightly bearded guy in a grey hat with a PJ "don't give up" tee, likely grinning like a fool, belting out every word to every song (there isn't one I don't know the words to), and intermittently holding back tears all night behind the stage in Hamilton, and somewhere in the 117 section in Toronto, is probably me.
