Ok is there any basis for this theory or is it complete conjecture. Because that would suck if no more dates are announced!

  • I agree--what the hell is the basis for these rumors.

At least an ACL show, EV East Coast dates, and Avocado b-sides has some rhyme and reason.

I can see this happening too.

I hope another announcement is coming though.

There are way to many rumors of shows for the announcement not to be tour dates. I really dont think the ed solo shows are going to be PJ shows. If Eddie didnt have a solo album out I may think differently, but he does and is going to play songs off it.

To be honest, I'm actually looking forward to Ed on stage singing campfire songs and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, I'd love if the band was with him, but I certainly won't be disappointed with just Ed!

I doubt they will annouce the band will be with Ed, I have tickets to Vancouver... but I just don't see that happening.

That would be the most dishonest and deceiving move ever if you ask me, and I would be one of those people at those shows, I wouldn't complain but I have friends that didn't try for tickets because they rather save their money to see the whole band...

I definately dont see this happening... the tickets have Eddie Vedder printed on them, it would be like Radiohead announcing shows and the coming out and saying AHA! Fooled ya its only Tom Yorke solo :S, is that even legal? Wouldn't that be like misadvertising?

I don't know, like I said I have tickets to Vancouver so there is no sour grapes here, I just think that this is a 1,000,000 to 1 chance of this being the announcement, IMHO

You may be right, but seriously, the entire ITW catalog is maybe 60 minutes worth of material (and that's if he extends every song to twice it's normal length). Ed certainly has lots of other stuff that would fit into a solo acoustic gig, but I am still curious about the "april fools' part of it.

I think it was just a name for the tour they came up with. But I could be wrong.

That would be the dumbest thing ever. They announce an Eddie solo tour and then suddenly change it to a PJ tour?

The Ten Club wouldn't hear the end of that.

It has to be a tour.

I certainly thing any of us with EV tickets would be setting ourselves up for a huge disappointment if we put too much stock in these theories...it would be awesome, but sadly I don't see it happening - that said, there is something to "April Fools" and I am thinking maybe it simply means "solo" involves some friends...isn't the point of an April Fools joke to make the joke on April 1st? Maybe that means a Seattle show on the first with some friends along to give us a taste of what to expect. Seattle show could be "Vic'ish" in the manner in which tix are distributed to members. Maybe that is the tweet?

Why would that be dumb? Considering the mess that the Vic tix buying process was, I think it is possible. But, to calm the masses, they would have to announce other US PJ dates....

The only reason I don't think it's a tour announcement is somewhere, in some city, info would've been leaked about a PJ show.

Of course I will be VERY happy to be wrong about that :)

I think that April Fool's part of the whole thing is a Seattle show on April 1st...
I think they will annouce it with enough time only for the locals to make it, I think that even if they announced the show the same morning of the 1st, like at the Showbox or similar size it would absolultey sell out by that same night, and that way it will truly be a local show, that's just a guess though but you can't surprise people with an April Fool's Joke on March 19th, it makes no sense.

Cause I guarantee a SHITLOAD more people would be trying to get those TIX if it was PJ rather than Eddie solo. Why would the Ten Club fuck with the fans like that? That's no way to treat a fan club.

That's exactly my point. If PJ wanted to play small shows, this would be a great way to do it-- avoiding all of the chaos that ensued when they announced the Vic. Sure, people would be pissed, but so be it. They would calm down if they were also given a bunch of PJ dates along with this news.
