i though i was the only sick person who picks their funural song. anyway, number one was and will always be ROAD TO NOWHERE By the Talking Heads.

Number 2) The show must go on by Queen
and finally Number 3. Why go by you know who.

Natalie Merchant - Life Is Sweet
    Pearl Jam - Light Years
    10,000 Maniacs - Verdi Cries

Edit: I might change one of them for 99 Red Balloons by Nena. Don't know which one, though.

kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.

Desolation Row is a great song for almost any occasion.
« One man's glory is another man's hell.
You’re on the outside, never bound by such a spell.
Together in the darkness, alone in the light.
I took it upon me to be yours, Timmy,
I’ll lead your angels and demons at play tonight......»

The obvious choice would be "Alive", due to the chorus. But I'm not really shure the rest of the lyrics fits a funeral (not mine at least)
Other than that, I would pick "Immortality" and "Gorgeous" by the danish band Kashmir.
Not being a narcissist here, but having the line "the reverb you left is never over. Tolling for the only one who is not present " song at my funeral would be....uhm...killer :)

Tom Waits has a ton of songs that would fit this occasion.

    howbout:

    That Feel
Come On Up To the House
Take It With Me When I Go
    Tom Traubert's Blues
    Innocent When You Dream
    Cold Cold Ground
    Train Song
    Anywhere I Lay My Head
    No One Knows I'm Gone
    Hold On

the list could go on and on.....
"What’s Orphans? I don’t know. Orphans is a dead end kid driving a coffin with big tires across the Ohio River wearing welding goggles and a wife beater with a lit firecracker in his ear." - Tom Waits

I like the title of the middle one. It fits the occasion.

Some yes, not too much. Cool voice yet very typical. Not quite easy listening.
