I really think it is So, I, do I see her??........... And twisted thoughts that spin....etc.etc.. How quick the sun can drop away.....

The lyrics on PJ.com are just interpretations.......I know some are incorrect...like In Hiding.....awful interpretation of what the real lyrics are.....

So why do I swear? I always thought.

Like, why does he swear when he feels childrens laughter? Because he is empty, etc.
What the fuck is this world?

I think sear works just fine. To "sear" means to burn, which i think is the way he feels when he hears the laughter. Like it should make him happy, but he's burning up inside.

"to make callous or unfeeling; harden: The hardship of her youth has seared her emotionally. "

One of the definitions of the word sear...fits perfectly! ;)

Agreed....and In Hiding lyrics on Pearljam.com seem pretty damn close to me too...

    no they're not.

"I knelt and emptied the mouth of every club around"

    should be

"I knelt and emptied the mouth of every plug around"

    also

"I'd stay but my last tab left me"

    should be

"I stayed where my last step left me"

The lyrics to In Hiding on PJ.com are not correct. "emptied the mouth of every club around" WTF? Its "plug" not "club" - as in he unplugged everything while pulling the curtains down and making it dark.

And it is "I surfaced and all of my being was enlightened", not "pen wasn't writing" or whatever is listed there.

And "I'd stay where my last step left me", not "tab". WTF is a "tab"?

Looking at the TSIS, the PJ.com lyrics are the same as the entry for In Hiding on TSIS. I wonder if they just lifted them from TSIS. TSIS has many songs with incorrect lyrics, some that even contradict the album liner notes.

Edit: Sorry, Stephen Flow beat me to it.

AND....I am sorry....I am not one that thinks Lyrics are open to interpretation....IE...what you hear is what you should go with....in order to know what the meaning of a song is, you have to at least get all the lyrics correct. I can understand why Eddie doesnt release the exact lyrics, but I dont trust what other people have submitted.....

"I am a fun guy"......depending on who submits the lyrics, you could either be a fun person that is male or you could be a mushroom.....THINK ABOUT IT......

Sad is wrong too, and is also an exact match of what is on theskyiscrape.com. So someone is copying from someone.

"A fate we may delay . . . we say . . . holding on delivered in our own brace" is wrong.

Should be "A fate we may delay . . . we say . . . holding on to live within our embrace."

And "He let ‘em as he laid in bed" should be "Eleven nights he laid in bed"

Also "holiness" instead of "loneliness", at least on the first one. The last one is "loneliness" I believe.
