I'm going to be doing a lot of videos and photo montages for my family and friends now that I have the right software and skills, and if it were up to me it would all be set to my few favorite songs that make me think of my kids. Give me YOUR favorite songs that make you think of your kids, or nice natured songs that would go good with pictures of kids and stuff.

Here's a few of mine:
Everything - Ben Harper
When She Believes - Ben Harper
#3 - Ben Harper
Tuolumne - Ed Ved

I always think of my oldest son when I hear "I'll stand by you" by Chrisi Hines and the Pretenders.

American Pie. Used to sing it to my daughter in utero, and when she was born I would sing it when she was upset and she would go right to sleep.

Hey Oh (Snow) by RHCP both my kids love that song.

Alive for my son. He loves watching my skydive video where Alive is the song in the background.

Get Up Stand up, because my son loves to sing it. He heard it at a Police show. It was the music they put on as the show ended.

Baba O'Riley My son currently wants this song on repeat after watching the VH1 Rock Honors and hearing it.

He is 4.5 years old and my daughter is 1.5.

    Some that I have used...

    Godspeed by The Dixie Chicks
Into the Mystic by Van Morrison
Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles

I know there are others, more upbeat, but I am concentrating too hard on trying to figure out where all of these countries are on the opening ceremony! ;)

    Take care,
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (whew, that's a mouthful)

All I know Art Garfunkel (from the Chicken Little soundtrack, so sweet)

Sunshine on My Shoulders by John Denver

    Ordinary Miracle by Sarah McLachlan

    and a SUPER-OLDIE:

Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine by Tom T. Hall

Now...I don't carry all of these that I have suggested (see other post) around on my IPOD. They are just from a "what would sound good with photos of children" perspective. I have a video on my myspace page (see videos) of one that I did for my son. Send me a friend request and check it out...seregrrl.

I took my youngest, my only son (11 years), to see the Australian Pink Floyd a few weeks back. We stood in the rain and sang "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" together :o it was pretty special and I guess that will stick....although he'd prefer Motorhead and Iron Maiden
One song we ALL (2 daughters also) love is It's a Long way to the top...., by ac/dc, they loved Jack Black singing it in School of Rock a few years back.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

Dandelion by Audioslave, makes me think of the night before my son was born and now I always associate the song with my son who is now 4 and a half and I have some lovely pics of him blowing on Dandelions haha, talk about full circle huh.:)
    Hard to Imagine by PJ
    Wake Up by Arcade Fire.
These are some of the songs on the memory card in my digital photoframe that play to the slideshow of piccies on there.

Free Falling - because I have a tape of my son dancing to it at age 3/4

Smile - his pet scorpion died when that song came out and he was sad.

Low by R.E.M.--they used to CRACK up in the car when that song came on!
