This band is probably the best Australian band....well at least IMO. Of the earlier heavy stuff I really love "Israel's Son", "Tomorrow" and stuff of that ilk. Of the later so-called "gay" material I really enjoy "Without You", "Ana's Song" and "Favourite Thing".The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?
Feels like were all alone
Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow
So what are we becoming?
Where did we go wrong?0 -
Frogstomp is one of my fav albums ever.... hard to believe these guys were like 15 when they made it, maybe even younger, lol.
Ana's Song, Freak & Cemetery get special mentions but i dont really like their other albums. The last one sucked.
Oh, forgot to answer the question, lol. Probably 'Tomorrow' is my fav.0 -
I got fav's from each album
Frogstomp - Leave me out.
Freakshow - Slave
Neon Ballroom - Paint Pastel Princess
Diorama - The Greatest ViewWho cares if the world is going down the toilet? Eddie Vedder got his mojo back!0 -

That's odd, I think "Diorama" is one of the best album of the new millenium. It does have to grow on you but all the arrangements are just amazing. I think my favorite songs would have to be: Greatest View, Without You, After All These Years, Ana's Song, Emotion Sickness, Israels Son, Miss You Love.
I really would take the older stuff (Neon Ballroom and Diorama) over the earlier work any day0 -
frogstomp - tomorrow
freak show - slave
neon ballroom - emotion sickness
best of vol 1 - blind
diorama - tuna in the brine.....and he still gets his love he just gives it away,
the love he receives is the love that is saved,
and sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky.
a human being that was GIVEN TO FLY.....0 -
i think 'emotion sickness' is one of the most incredible pieces of music ive ever heard. there's so much going on in that one tune it's incredible. i am so happy to hear they're back working on new material.
frogstomp - faultline
freak show - the door/no association
neon ballroom - emotion sickness
diorama - too much of not enough0 -
tuna in the brine...
i think diorama is one of the best albums of the 2000s..honestly..I've seen so many people try and copy Eddie Vedder's voice. It's as if if you don't sound like him you're not a man. - Emmett Roslan

I'd say my favorite is either Miss You Love, Untitled, or Israel's Son."No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead."0

i could name almost every track from neon ballroom and diorama. but paint pastel princess and without you are probably my favorite songs from each, with honorable mentions to do you feel the same and world upon your shoulders. silverchair is underrated to say the least. diroama was way beyond their years. that was 4 years ago, and they're still young.Another habit says it's in love with you
Another habit says its long overdue
Another habit like an unwanted friend
I'm so happy with my righteous self0 -
I'm an aussie and I had no idea Silver Chair had much of a following outside OZ, but this is very cool to hear!
I agree that Diorama is a landmark album.. just incredible.. a true work of art!
Greatest View.. love it!I've got a Gibson without a case, but I can't get that even tanned look on my face...0
