Bob Dylan. I'm a Huge Dylan fan, but his live show could have been alot better. It wasn't all his fault though, the Sound in the Houston Astrodome sucks, that's why the seats are cheap. But, Bob didn't say a single word all night, and the band messed up lay lady Lay (they should have started over). I'll keep in mind that this was part of the Rodeo, so the set was short. I'd like to see Bob again cause maybe he just didn't get a good vibe from that whole live stock rodeo setting. I'm hoping to see him in a theater type setting at a show in the future, hopefully it will be better. His album Modern times is amazing. Being a big Dylan fan, I was a bit dissapointed. Hopefully I won't get reemed for this. :o

Dylan is really hit or miss these days, and he relies on his band a lot to drag out the songs so he doesn't have to sing much. I still go see him every few years just out of principle, but still. The show I saw in 2002 was fantastic, played 20+ songs, right around 2 hours... lately he only plays about 15 and every song gets dragged out for 8 minutes
The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.

Cheap Trick. I read rave reviews about their live shows, but was totally bored when I saw them in concert five years ago.

Counting Crows. zzzzzzzzzzzz... left a lot to be desired.

Cracker. Dave Lowrey didn't interact with the crowd. At all. It was like we weren't even there, and the band was rehearsing in a garage.

Direngrey. Don't know what all the hype is about (on certain metal forums). They sucked hard.

Eminem. Went to the Anger Management Tour five years ago and left unimpressed. For someone so "controversial," Eminem's live show seemed rather ho-hum. Ludacris and Xzibit blew Em out of the water in terms of stage presence.

The Black Crowes. <ducks> Talented musicians for sure, but methinks I caught them on an off night.

The Roots. Ditto. Will be seeing them again in a few weeks so they'll have a chance to redeem themselves.

I am going to say Green Day, as of American Idiot. Having seen them twice before, they really kinda sucked, could have played a good 5-7 more songs if Billie Joe hadn't spent the entire night leading the crowd in "Heeyyy... Ho..." and other such stupid shit. They made their most grown up record yet, and then went on tour and played to the 12 year olds... good job guys.

i agree... less talk, more songs.
