It's better than anything so far (after first listen) maybe there's hope yet!
My god that's the best thing I've heard from him since EM. See Chris, there is a way to add new elements to your sound (organ/harmonica) without selling your fucking soul!I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

Still has the cheesyness. "Boing!" It is a better song, though, more down Chris' alley. This is the kind of R&B I expected him to do, not Timberlake styled.
It's either a bonus track or something that is going to be clipped as a B-Side. But I'm sure someone's already said that.0 -

I disagree...on the cheesiness part...this song is a basic blues tune...which is my dream album from CC. That voice and some great guitar on a bunch of blues songs. One can only dream. I think this song is awesome and thanks to a "forum pal" I was able to get it on my iPod and blast it in the car on the way to my son's guitar lessons....my little Stevie Ray in the making. lol Seriously, this is a very good song and it has to be new because his voice is mind-blowingly good on it. Could this possibly be on the new album? It's so radically different than that other crap, but also there's that outra on "scream" that's pretty good and supposedly each song moves into the next, so maybe there is hope after all. I need some reason to buy this album....maybe this will be it!Gonna rise up....burning black holes in dark memories. Gonna rise up....turning mistakes into gold.0 -

I'm not saying the song isn't good, it just has some of the production touches in it. Like the "Boing!" I mentioned, it shows up a few times at the starts of verses, I think.
This is more along the lines of what I was hoping for from this, kinda a hope against hope. Watch Out was more along the lines of what I expected.
LOL, the thing that sucks is, if this is a bonus track, you have to buy the album to hear it. I'd pay for this particular song if it was on ITunes as its own.0 -

Same here. Its long been documented that CC is a fan of old r&b. I was hoping a collaboration with Timbaland might build off that, and give us something along the lines of this "hidden" track. But the rest of it has turned out how I feared.I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

Anyone know where we can get a download yet?Dublin 2006
Katowice 2007
London 20070 -
Like I said of Safe and Sound on Carry On, an album of songs like this would be great. May be some future album...
Adding: Watch Out should probably be the single, I can see my 10 year old step-daughter dancing to this. And lyrically, its like a Pink song. LOL - it is shocking to hear this then play any SG. I have a feeling though, that Watch Out may be the song least likable to my rock tastes and this may actually be an enjoyable album. Not to the degree of anything Pre-Carry ON... but enjoy it still.bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown0 -

Gimme five minutes and I should be able to sort it out, I've just managed to split the file so we can get rid of Watch Out! PM me if you want it0 -

That was almost enough to wipe away the taste of all the other bull doody. Almost. Which is still a hell of a feat.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0

if i wasnt able to mute watch out , i would have never heard that, i enjoyed it , cmon Chris give us an album of that, not this Timbacrap.0

Hell yes, we need more of this. His voice is just too good, it sounds amazing in this bluesy tone.
But now I have to wonder if he really wrote it? Which is sad that I even have to think about that. What if he didn't write the one song worth listening to on this album (if it is part of the album)?"Would I rather be feared or loved? Um... Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." -Michael Scott0 -

Maybe he didn't write it, but if you really listen to the words (which you can hear since his voice is beautifully crystal clear) they sound a bit autobiographical to me anyway. So maybe there's hope that he did!Gonna rise up....burning black holes in dark memories. Gonna rise up....turning mistakes into gold.0 -

It's not flirting with ebonics, there is little doubt in my mind... he wrote this.0 -
Thanks Brisk!
Hope you guys are right, I mean the lyrics do sound very Cornell, but you never know these days.
Also, the whole thing is kinda weird. Why is this song linked to Watch Out? And if it's not part of Scream (which it doesn't sound like it is), how did it get leaked?
When did he write this? Maybe during CO? Or maybe it was a song Timbo decided he didn't want to put on the record?
Not complaining, but I'm confused.
Sidenote, saving it to my Comp and MP3 player...what's a good title for this untitled song? Right now I have it as "Two Drinks From Crying"."Would I rather be feared or loved? Um... Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." -Michael Scott0 -

indeed all question we want to know. It would be so odd to be on the album but this song was originally uploaded onto a website following scream and watch out was on the website for stream, maybe its a secret song on the end of the album and the person who uploaded forgot to cut it out :S
why not call it - "eat shit timbaland" or "Cornell > timbaland"0
