I'm not sure about forgotten because I don't know how popular it was in the first place but I'd say 'Broken English' by 'Marianne Faithfull'. It's a classic album that no one ever seems to mention.

I find it strange that more people don't go nuts over the brilliance that is Spin Doctors' 'Pocketful of Kryptonite.' Lovely album.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday.
