Why did people sit in the forums all day waiting for the news?

Just curious - since you could of just went to http://www.pearljam.com and got the same info, but without the server crashes, headaches, complaints, etc.

  No bother to me, I'm just curious if maybe some folks didn't realize they could have bypassed the forum madness and got the same info from the main page.

  I believe they posted the tour news on their website shortly before announcing it here.
