Please identify guitar in Burn To Shine

Eddie plays "Can't Keep" on what looks like a kid's size guitar in the the Burn to Shine DVD. What is it? When I heard him play a version like this on the Live at Benaroya Hall CD, I thought it was a mandolin.
Has he played this guitar on anything else?

It's not visible in this picture, but the shape of it is unlike any ukulele I've ever seen. It's shaped like an electric guitar. Sorry I don't know better how to describe it. Remember the non-musician dummy part....0 -
